New Motorcycles

With the beginning of Spring, many men and women who have never been on a motorcycle before will throw their legs over the saddle and go out for their first ride. Most of these new riders will be responsible and follow the rules of the road, but a good number of them will not. These bad riders are non following the rules of motorcycle safety.
The first thing a new passenger can do to be safer is attend the closest safety course. These ar usually put on by the local highway patrol and are taught by qualified, trained instructors who have been riding for a long time.
At the course, they will teach subjects like how to start and stop the bike safely, emergency braking and maneuvers, and how to make a safe turn. These courses ar also good for waiving the behind-the-wheel portion of the driver’s license exam.
Riding a bike is nothing at all like impulsive a car, and there ar things that every new rider needs to know. A shift in body weight can send the bike off its line, and this can induce panic in a new rider. This panic can lead to a loss of control, which results in a crash.
A passenger needs to have a good awareness of everything around him. It is good to imagine a security bubble or cushion surrounding the rider. The rider has to be aware of a car’s blind spot, especially since motorcycles are so hard to see.
Many riders have been hit by cars that are making a left turn. These cars will often turn directly into the riders’ path and then claim to have not seen the rider. It has been estimated that the sterling(a) danger to motorcyclist is the car making a left turn.
Cars backing out of a drive may also not see an oncoming motorcyclist. Weather, lighting conditions and other factors all contribute to passenger visibility. A passenger therefore needs to be totally aware of everything going on around him or her and then make decisions accordingly.
Gear is another(a) factor in rider protection. Many riders choose to ride in jeans and a t-shirt, especially in summer. Falling off a moving motorcycle to the ground is like sticking your skin against a fast-moving belt sander; jeans and t-shirts shred easily. Well-prepared riders dress for the crash, not for the ride, and therefore wear leather protective gear, good gloves and a full face helmet.
